Just had to share

We are crazy with packing around here! I'm basically trying to get us down to just the bare essentials, the things we'll need to pack for Utah. Our little apartment is looking so shabby with everything off the walls and so many empty cupboards!

Annie was sporting her new boots with her church outfit on Sunday morning. She played in the leaves before church, and nothing--not even tights--could stop her from climbing up those cements steps! :) That's my girl!

a girl and her dog :)

Tonight, while Brant was at his first elder's quorum presidency meeting, I was doing the dishes and straightening up in the kitchen. Annie was playing in the living room. Well, I finish up and walk in to see this:

Not only did she successfully crawl up onto the chair, she stood up and promptly began trying to turn the TV on and put the Seinfeld DVDs back into their cases! :)

Frying Pan Fun

Who needs fancy toys when you've got an old, thrift store-purchased frying pan with scrambled egg still crusted on? She searched in the cupboard until she found just the right one for the job!

Annie's been experimenting lately with balance. She tries to see if she can balance on all sorts of things. Sofa pillows, stuffed animals, sippy cups, and now, frying pans. :)

Now Introducing . . .

two new blog additions to the Mandolin Rain family. Coralee and I have both branched out and created our own personal blogs. We were feeling type-cast by our previous blog postings, unable to break from the mold our blog audience expected (ie family updates and pictures). So again we have created two new blogs to house our personal muses.

Coralee's new blog is thecatbirdnest.blogspot.com.

Mine is storytellerinterrupted.blogspot.com.

We hope you enjoy what you find!

Leaves

They are so beautiful--and plentiful! I don't want to start raking, even though I know we should. But when your yard doesn't have enough grass to shake a stick at, aren't gorgeous golden leaves preferable to dirt??

This is what she does now when we say, "Where's your belly button??"
